Pre-Doctoral and pre-Master Courses at Faculty of Horticulture

These courses, offered at the Matsudo Campus, are preparatory courses that lead foreign students to enrol in the Master and Doctoral Courses at the Graduate School of Science and Technology of Chiba University.  

Eligible candidates for these courses are students with either Bachelor or Master's degrees, which are on scholarships provided by their own government, or governmental agencies, in their respective countries.  (Please note that students on Monbusho scholarships by the Japanese government do not need these preparatory courses).

The duration of each course is six months, from October to March.  Students are expected to proceed to the corresponding Master or Doctoral course from April of the following year.

Course Description:
    Orientation
    Japanese Language Classes
    Practical research on respective science fields
    Presentation at an open seminar

Examination and Admission Fee:
    94,400 yen for the preparatory course; additional fee upon proceeding to the Doctoral or Master course

Tuition Fee: 173,400 yen
